Browsing public resources does not require an account. When you create an account, make a purchase, join a School workspace, upload material or use other SOMO services, we may collect and process the information necessary to provide, secure and improve those services.
SOMO uses trusted service providers to support functions such as account authentication, secure data and file storage, payment processing, communications and educational content services. Personal information is shared only where necessary to provide these services, meet legal obligations, protect the platform or prevent fraud and misuse.
Schools may provide limited learner information for authorised educational services such as Holiday Assignments. SOMO limits this information to what is reasonably necessary for the service and does not make private School learner registers publicly available.
You may contact SOMO to request access to, correction of or deletion of your personal information, subject to applicable legal and operational retention requirements. Certain financial, transaction, fraud-prevention and security records may need to be retained after other information is deleted.
Do not submit unnecessary personal or sensitive information through resource uploads, messages or other free-text fields. Parents, guardians, Schools and other authorised users should provide children's information only where it is necessary for the educational service being used.
